Grant Opportunity for Teachers and School Staff
Carteret Local Food Network is excited to offer grants to teachers and school staff ready to help students connect to their food in a more healthful manner. We hope you agree that many children of all ages have lost the connection to their food and farming practices, and we encourage all of us to help reverse this. Too many kids answer the question “where does your food come from?” with the answer “the grocery store”. CLFN wants to help educators reverse this trend and help kids appreciate that the food they eat is grown by a real person and takes real work.
Below please find the information you need to apply for these grants – the cover letter gives our timeline and helpful information, the application gives you direction in describing to us the project you’d like to involve your students in and what they could learn.
